The Wuj Kape lot is sourced from 18 smallholder farms that are all owned and operated by female producers. The beans are grown in the highlands around the town of Huehuetenango in western Guatemala, with coffee from this region highly renowned due to the unique growing conditions.
This coffee is processed using the washed method, before being added to fermentation tanks for 24 hours. The coffee is then dried on patios for 12 – 15 days to reach ideal moisture content.
We’re excited about this one, as despite it being from the same producers as last year, this season’s crop creates a vastly different profile that’s bright and juicy with notes of marmalade.
