This coffee, like more than 90% of all of Papua New Guinea’s coffee, is grown on smallholder farms around Asaro in the Eastern Highlands Province. Coffee provides a livelihood for between 2-3 million people in PNG, with more than 50% of rural households involved in the cultivation and harvesting of coffee.
At harvest, farmers will carry their coffee to the nearest road for transport. Depending on road conditions, remote farmers may carry coffee for up to a day to reach a passable road.
With milk the PNG Asaro has notes of cocoa and a delicious walnut finish, or enjoy the soft plum sweetness as a black coffee.

Love this bean! I used to look forward to getting to work to have a good cuppa. Now I can’t wait to get home to have one. I used with De’Longhi La Specialista Touch and it’s exactly the way I like it.
