Finca El Alto is a 42-hectare farm in Cerro Grande, Honduras. The farm is managed by Ludwin Aguilar, who took over from his father in 1990. Ludwin has made significant improvements to the farm including planting native shade trees and investing in specialised processing equipment, with the goal of improving quality and preserving the surrounding environment.
Beyond the crop, Ludwin supports local sustainability by conserving native forest and protecting natural springs on the farm. He also built a football field for local residents as a space where the surrounding community can gather and grow.
