This coffee is named after the Arufa growing region in the Western Highlands Province and the processing method. Grown by a network of smallholder farmers committed to high quality production, ripe cherries are handpicked to be sold at the Kindeng Wet Mill. They are directly sun dried for a period of one full month, omitting the pulping, fermenting, and washing stages. The dry cherries are processed to green beans and moved to Goroka for final cleaning.
This style of processing and development is what has helped to create the unique and exciting characteristics of this coffee, including notes of bubblegum, jackfruit and floral rose.
