This coffee is grown in the Chiapas region of Mexico, and is decaffeinated using the Mountain Water Process®.
This is a chemical free method of decaffeinating green coffee beans using water from the glaciers of the Pico de Orizaba mountain. It gently removes caffeine by immersing the green coffee beans in water where the coffee oils and caffeine float. This water is then filtered to remove the caffeine, leaving only the natural coffee oils that create delicious coffee that is 99.9% caffeine free without affecting the flavour.
