‘Donas do Café’ translates to ‘Ladies of Coffee’, and is a program that’s based around knowledge exchange to assist the work of women coffee producers in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil.
Members don’t only own their farms but are involved in all the decision making as it’s been found that “when woman in the community prosper, so does everything around her”.
The Donas Do Café is made up from the harvest of several smaller producers, and blended to create a delicous full bodied coffee with sweet milk chocolate notes.
Tim Thomas
The Ipanema makes a great cup, smooth all around without much bitterness. A great everyday single origin.
