This coffee is grown by a group of smallholder farmers in the Chimbu Region of PNG who came together in 2003 to arrange an organic certification of their farms.
The coffee cherries hand pulped and washed by farmers in the pristine tributaries of the Waghi River. It is then dried and carried to the nearest road for transport to the processing facility in Goroka, which depending on weather and road conditions could involve walking for up to a day before reaching a passable road.
The Papua New Guinea has rich cocoa notes with layers of sweetness and a clean finish. Enjoy through most brewing methods black or with milk.
