Nelson Soza was born in the late 1970’s, and is married with four boys currently aged 18, 14, 11 and 5 years. The cultivation of coffee for this family represents their heritage and livelihood, with Nelson being a third generation coffee farmer.
This coffee was grown on their farm named ‘Cerro Bonito’, a 2.8ha plot first planted in 2012. While the coffee is not certified organic, Nelson makes use of the coffee by-products, such as the cherry skin, to make his own natural fertiliser, reducing waste and saving on costs.
